Acceptable Use Policy
Effective Date: August 1, 2025This Acceptable Use Policy (the “Policy”) outlines rules that apply to all users of the Weave Accreditation platform and related services (the “Services”) provided by Weave Education, LLC (“Weave”). It also applies to the use of our website at https://www.WeaveAccreditation.com (the “Site”).
By using the Services or accessing the Site, you agree to comply with this Policy. If you violate this Policy or authorize or help others to do so, Weave may suspend or terminate your access to the Services or take other appropriate action.
1. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Services or Site to engage in any of the activities listed below. This list is not exhaustive, and Weave may update it from time to time.
Illegal or Harmful Use
You may not use the Services to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Infringe the rights of others, including privacy, intellectual property, or contractual rights.
- Disseminate harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, or offensive content, including:
- Child sexual abuse imagery or exploitation.
- Obscene, violent, harassing, or hateful content.
- Malware, ransomware, viruses, or other malicious software.
- Phishing, social engineering, or deceptive advertising.
- Fraudulent academic content or misrepresentation in the context of accreditation.
Security Violations
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or account.
- Bypass or circumvent security measures or access restrictions.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, security, or availability of our systems or services.
- Use unauthorized automated means to access or use the Services (such as scraping or crawling).
- Forge headers, falsify routing information, or impersonate another user or entity.
Network Abuse
- Perform any denial of service (DoS), distributed denial of service (DDoS), or related attack.
- Intentionally interfere with or disrupt the use of the Services by others.
- Operate unauthorized open proxies or mail relays.
- Send or facilitate the distribution of spam or other unsolicited messages.
- Harvest or collect personal information from the Site or Services without authorization.
2. Confidentiality and Access Control
- You must maintain the confidentiality of your authentication credentials (e.g., password). Do not share them with others. Weave employees will never ask for your password.
- You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account.
- Access is granted on a “least privilege” basis—only to the extent necessary to perform your job duties or legitimate business tasks. Report any unauthorized access immediately to help@weaveeducation.com.
3. Browser and Session Security Requirements
To protect your data and the integrity of the Services:
- Use only web browsers that support
TLS 1.1+, with128-bitencryption minimum. - Configure your browser to:
- Warn about invalid certificates.
- Warn when switching between secure and non-secure modes.
- Check for publisher and server certificate revocations.
- Check digital signatures on downloaded files.
- Automatically delete temporary internet files when closed.
- Always log out or close your browser session after use. Never leave an active session unattended.
4. Compliance with Federal and Privacy Laws
Use of Weave Accreditation is governed by federal laws, including:
- The Privacy Act (5 U.S.C. § 552a) where applicable.
- FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act), when handling student records.
- Other state and federal regulations as relevant.
By accessing the Services, you consent to the retrieval and use of data within your authorized scope, subject to these laws.
5. Monitoring and Enforcement
Weave may investigate violations of this Policy and may:
- Suspend or terminate access to the Services.
- Remove or disable access to content that violates this Policy.
- Report suspected violations of law to the appropriate authorities, including disclosing relevant customer information as permitted by law.
- Cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory agencies.
